Lampung traditional house made of wood and full of philosophy

Kistang - Indonesia has many cultures and traditions that are rich and full of deep meaning, one of which is the variety of traditional houses in every tribe in Indonesia.

One of them is the Lampung traditional house, which is full of meaning and tradition, plus how to make it which is still fairly traditional using technology and materials that still rely on nature or are made from wood.

Therefore, it will be quite interesting if we now review a little about the traditional house of the Lampung tribe which is as follows:

The traditional house is called Nuwo. Nuwo has adeg (custom name) such as: Nuwo Berangai, Nuwo Balai Agung, Nuwo Gedung Agung, Nuwo Gedung Pekuwen, Nuwo Gedung Kaco, Nuwo Gedung Dalem, Nuwo Balai Keratun, Nuwo Keratun, Nuwo Keratun Dalem, Nuwo Balai Dunio, Nuwo Gemuttur, Nuwo Tetan Gumatti, Nuwo Pasar Agung, Nuwo Pasar Inten, Nuwo Pasar.

In the past, the name of the traditional house (Nuwo) reflected the customary strata approved by the Customary Council. Nuwo is the residence of Balancing (traditional leader of the alliance). Thus, changing the traditional name on the traditional house (changing adeg nuwo) is not allowed, considering that the traditional house is one of the conditions for the formation of a balance.

Nuwo has rooms with its occupants in a structured manner. The shape is in the form of a stilt building - pyramid and does not use iron nails. etc.

The Customary Hall is called Heresy. Heresies have scenes (custom names) such as the Menango Aji Heresy, the Suro Gumatti Heresy, the Abung Tinggi Heresy, and the Mupload Dabung Heresy. This is a place to discuss the customs of an indigenous community.

Misguided has various open spaces with their respective functions. The original form is a stilt building that is lower than the house. etc. Tabiik puun.
